CSC ServiceWorks Systems Analyst in Austin, Texas

Systems Analyst Position Summary:

Primary responsibility for supporting field operations with issues, requests, and analysis on field technology applications, systems, and digital technology

.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with developers on company initiatives. Create new environments and make updates to systems and processes.

  • Test & validate enhancements to systems and processes.

  • Provide documentation on business logic, functional specifications, and process flow.

  • Analyze and validate data. Alert where action or changes are needed.

  • Communicate to internal and external teams on status and requirements.

  • Assist in resolving Level 1 unresolved/escalated issues. Document the details of the user request or issue. Document the diagnostic steps performed when troubleshooting the issue. Assist the user with resolution using existing procedures and documentation.

  • Use available tools, procedures, SWI’s, instructions, and documents to resolve issues.

  • Analyze data to recognize error trends and conduct root cause analysis.

  • Perform escalated analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation for multiple supported applications.

  • Provide Level 2 technical support for all CSC Proprietary applications and payment systems.

  • Assist project managers on implementation projects where needed.

  • Write reports collecting information from department database resources for the various computer systems.

  • Assist with the deployment and support of software.

  • Escalates unresolved issues to Developers.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; and 1-3 years related application support experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • System expert and product manager

  • Knowledge of SQL is and how it’s used to retrieve data

  • Ability to analyze the retrieved relative to requirements and can effectively summarize analysis into useable recommendations

  • Knowledge of and ability to build queries using commands such as “Select”, “Insert”, “Update”, “Delete”, and ability to join multiple tables

  • Ability to analyze, model and interpret data using different tools and techniques

  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve multiple issues

  • Ability to make independent judgmental decisions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Goal-oriented, organized team player

  • Attention to detail with the ability to recognize issues, identify incorrect data and point out opportunities for improvement

  • Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to plan work and meet deadlines.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Professionally and courteously answer calls/email messages to address customer needs

  • Experience documenting work-flow processes

  • Exceptional customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
