EASTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - ACADEMIC DIVISION OVERVIEW: Primarily responsible for utilizing a consultative sales approach in prospecting, business development, and closing new business, while managing existing client base in the academic segment.

As a CSC Eastern Regional Sales Manager Academic Division, you’ll be an important part of what works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage prospects and customer relationships while developing a pipeline of new business through sales/marketing plans and maintenance of key account information.

  • Communicate to/work with the manager to resolve unique customer concerns/issues.

  • Schedule regular visits with customers to facilitate future renewal discussions.

  • Match services with customer needs. Demonstrate knowledge of customers, industry, competition, technology, and pricing.

  • Partner with Branches to maximize efficiencies and develop market strategies.

  • Maintain data in the CRM. Schedule appointments, and follow-ups, and maintain accurate contact information.

  • Communicate pricing, technology, and service strategies.

In this role, you’ll need:

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; and 3-5 years of business-to-business sales and prospecting experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and disseminate requests for proposals (RFPs), general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to promptly respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

  • Ability to work with a variety of mathematical concepts

  • Knowledge of all manufactured laundry and supporting card, or other systems to be used in student housing laundry operations.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present proposals both in person and virtually and follow up training to large groups of people within the customer’s user group

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory

  • Conduct sales activities with customers at the customer’s place of business
